Lost Tribe of the Sith: Spiral returns to print in Old Republic Vol 4!

The final story for my Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith series has been harder to find in recent years, as the Spiral miniseries — read my notes about the story here — has been out of print since the end of 2014. But it’s returning in May from Marvel as part of Star Wars: Legends Epic Collection — The Old Republic Vol. 4!

Here’s the solicitation copy:

The Sith Empire has returned to the galaxy! Determined to crush the Republic that sent them into exile, the Sith launch an attack on the galaxy’s Outer Rim — with their sights set on the Core Worlds, the heart of galactic unity. The Sith’s Dark Council claims to want peace — but both sides have unleashed spies that could turn the tide of war! And on a frozen world, a lost tribe of Sith cut off from the galaxy is about to have its fate changed forever, as a rebellious outcast discovers ancient secrets that will lead him and his allies to the stars — and beyond!

Collecting STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC #1-6, STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC — THE LOST SUNS #1-5, STAR WARS: LOST TRIBE OF THE SITH — SPIRAL #1-5 and material from STAR WARS TALES #17 and STAR WARS VISIONARIES

I had predicted the Tribe story would wind up in the fourth collection following the first three KOTOR volumes, and that seems to have panned out, as the Tribe’s story, set 2942 years before the Battle of Yavin (later than I remember intending, but that’s what the original comics say), follows the Old Republic online game stories in continuity order. If that continues to hold, one would guess that Knight Errant and the Darth Bane miniseries Jedi might wind up in volume 5 — giving me something in all five books and also encapsulating all the Star Wars material I did for Dark Horse. We’ll see!

The new Epic Collection goes on sale May 26 for $39.99; the ISBN number is 978-1-302-93087-5. I’ll post preorder links when they become available.
