Part 1 of the blockbuster crossover!
A terrible vision reaching far into the future alerts the secret Jedi Covenant to the importance of Taris, and they activate operative Celeste Morne. She encounters a monstrous threat, an ancient Sith artifact, an army of Mandalorians, and Zayne Carrick, the Padawan accused of killing his fellow students! Then, over 4,000 years into the future, "Vector" crosses into the period immediately following the events in Revenge of the Sith. The unfortunate misfit crew of the Uhumele is thrown into the path of Darth Vader and the now-ancient Jedi Master Celeste! Both Sith and smugglers will not leave this meeting without grave consequences...

Vector posed an interesting conundrum when it came time to collect it. It needed to be part of the ongoing storyline for different titles at once, and yet, we needed people to follow from one storyline to the next. The simplest route, putting just the four KOTOR Vector issues into a stand-alone Volume 5 for the series, defeated that latter purpose, as it meant that it wasn’t exposing KOTOR readers to Dark Times.
The solution crafted at Dark Horse involved giving a spiffy new trade dress to the trade, displaying the icons of all four eras on the spine — and labeling the book on the cover both as Knights Volume 5 and Dark Times Volume 3. Unusual but probably not unprecedented for comics, where stories weave in and out of ongoing titles.
Travis Charest’s cover for KOTOR #25 became the cover for the trade, while the back cover came from Dark Times #12.
Trivia: This trade gives readers the only place they’ll see Gryph outside the regular series (at least, in comics form), in his cameo in Dark Times. Zayne appears momentarily in the next volume.
